Barrhead Book Club
The Barrhead Public Library hosts a book club night on the 2nd Thursday of each month. November 14th @ 7 pm, The Good House by Bonnie Burnard will be discussed. New members are always welcome and you don't have to finish the book selected if you don't enjoy it.
Book club was re-started in September 2002 after a year break. Our reading list for this year has been:
- September: A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry
- October: Unless by Carol Shields
- November: The Good House by Bonnie Burnard
- December/January: The Navigator of New York by Wayne Johnston

Our book club started in the fall of 1998 after several attempts at getting started. We meet monthly at our local library.
Our first meeting began with discussing which books we wanted to read. Everyone was given the opportunity to list three favorites. We then chose the books and off we went. We have met each month since November.
